Getting a quote and ordering
How do I get a quote?
There are two ways. Online: add items to your basket and use the personalisation tool to add your logo, and the website prices it all up for you. Or send us the details: the styles and colours you like, rough sizes and quantities (an estimate is fine) and a copy of your logo. We'll come back with a full quote and free visuals of your logo on the garments.
Can I see what it will look like before I order?
Yes. Every quote comes with free digital visuals showing your logo on the garments. For embroidery, we also stitch out your logo after the order is placed and send you photos to approve. Nothing is customised until you're happy.
Can I order on the website?
Yes. Add items to your basket and either pay online or submit it as a quote request. If you're unsure how to add your logo, just screenshot your basket and email it to us and we'll set it up.
Do you keep my logo on file?
Yes. Once your logo is set up we keep it on file, so reorders are quick and match your previous order.
Is there a minimum order?
No. There's no minimum order and no setup fee for embroidered or printed workwear. Woven appliqué badges are the exception, with a 50-badge minimum on the first order.
Do you offer bulk discounts?
Pricing is the same whether you order 10, 25 or 50. We look at bulk pricing from 100 pieces upwards.
Can our company have its own ordering page?
Yes. We build you a portal: a private page on our site with your pre-approved garments, your logo already applied and prices that include the customisation. Your team just picks sizes and orders. Portals can be split by department or division, for example office, road and warehouse staff, each seeing only their own kit. Setting one up takes a little time at the start, as we agree your garments and logo placements with you. After that, reordering takes minutes, with no quotes or approvals each time. Ask us about a portal for your business.
Logos, embroidery and print
Should I go for embroidery or print?
Embroidery looks premium and lasts well, which is why most workwear logos are embroidered. Print is cheaper for large designs, so it suits big back logos: a large printed logo is £3.99 + VAT, against £6.95 + VAT embroidered. Print also handles fine detail and colour gradients that embroidery can't.
Can you embroider a logo with a colour gradient?
Not as a gradient. Embroidery uses solid thread colours, so a gradient becomes one or more flat colours. If the gradient matters to your brand, print is the better option.
Can you print on fleece?
We don't recommend it. The heat used in printing can scorch fleece fabric, so we embroider both front and back logos on fleeces.
Is there a setup fee?
No. We don't charge setup fees on workwear. Your logo is set up and kept on file free of charge, ready for every reorder.
Why has my embroidered logo curled or puckered?
Dense designs, like solid circular badges, pack a lot of stitches into a small area, which can pull the fabric. Ironing the back of the logo after washing helps it sit flat. For new orders, a woven appliqué badge avoids the problem altogether.
What is a woven appliqué badge?
Your logo is woven as a precision-cut patch with sharp detail, then embroidered onto the garment around its edge. It uses far less stitching, so it sits flat and stays light. The first order needs 50 badges and takes around 4 weeks. You don't need 50 garments: we hold the spare badges for your next orders.
There's a faint ring around my new embroidery. Is that permanent?
No. It's a mark from the embroidery hoop that holds the garment in place. A light spray of water and a gentle rub, or one wash, removes it.
Where will my logo go on a hoodie?
Front logos usually go on the left chest. Back logos on hoodies sit slightly lower than on other garments, so the hood doesn't cover them when worn. Placement on visuals is approximate, and we can match positions across different garments in your range.
Products, sizing and fit
Which garments do you recommend?
It depends on who's wearing them. Many businesses run two ranges: hard-wearing, budget-friendly kit for site teams, and smarter polos, quarter-zips and softshells for customer-facing staff. For hi-vis, the Regatta X-Pro range is one of the best available; there are cheaper alternatives if budget is tight.
What's the difference between budget and premium garments?
Entry-level styles like the AWDis college hoodie are made for the mass workwear market and do the job well. Premium brands like Stanley/Stella and Build Your Brand use heavier, softer fabrics and cost noticeably more. If you're launching your own clothing brand, we'd point you to the premium end.
Do you have women's fit options?
Yes, though the range is smaller than men's and unisex, especially for heavier garments and quarter-zip fleeces. We'll include women's-fit options wherever they exist, plus unisex alternatives and their size charts.
How do I know which sizes to order?
Every garment has a manufacturer's size chart with measurements, and we're happy to send these on request. Most of our core styles fit true to size. If you don't know exact sizes yet, we can quote on estimates and update the quote before you pay.
Lightweight or heavy fleece?
If your team is moving around all day, a lightweight microfleece is often the better choice. Customers regularly tell us heavy fleeces get too warm on the go.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes. Samples are plain, unbranded garments, ordered and paid for like a normal order. Send them back within 14 days with the original labels and packaging, and we'll refund you. We can't do branded samples, because once a logo is added the garment can't be resold. On your first order, we send free visuals and photos of your stitched logo to approve before anything is customised.
Why can't I reorder the exact style I had last time?
Manufacturers sometimes discontinue styles or colours. When that happens, we'll suggest the closest replacement so your kit still matches. The colours shown on each product page are the only colours available for that style.
Lead times, delivery, payment and returns
How long will my order take?
Our current lead time for customised orders is Approx. 3 Weeks, from payment and artwork approval. As a guide through the year: around 1 to 2 weeks from January to June, 2 to 3 weeks in July and August, around 3 weeks from September to November, when we're producing several large contract orders at once, and 2 to 3 weeks in December. First orders with woven appliqué badges take around 4 weeks. Need it sooner? Get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
How is my order delivered?
We send UK orders with Royal Mail or Parcelforce, depending on the size of your order. Once it's despatched, it's next working day delivery, and we email you your tracking information.
How much is delivery?
Free on UK orders over £100. Orders under £100 are £7.50 including VAT. Northern Ireland is £21.95, and we quote for Europe and beyond.
When does my order go into production?
As soon as it's paid. That's why we ask you to double-check sizes, colours and quantities on your quote: once it's paid, that's what we produce.
Can I change my order after I've placed it?
Yes, until it's paid and processed. Swapping sizes, adding items or changing a logo method is easy at quote stage, and we'll send an updated quote.
Can I return or exchange items?
Plain, uncustomised items can be returned within 14 days of receiving them, as long as they're unworn with the original labels and packaging. We can't accept returns on items customised with your logo, as they can't be resold. If you're unsure on sizing, just ask and we'll send you the size charts before you order. If something arrives faulty or wrong, contact us and we'll put it right.
